Hi, Been On A Dmp Since March 07 With Cccs. Has Anybody Had Dealings With Lloyds After Receiving Letters From The Above, I Have Responded To All Communications As I Prefer Not To Speak To Them, But Have Had A Message Asking For Me To Contact Them (had A Call A Few Weeks Ago And They Wanted To Accept Payment If I Refinanced Through Them, Which Is Not Feasible, The Guy Did Say It Would Be Passed To Recoveries Where They Would Probably Accept Payment). What Next, Do They Ever Accept Payments? It Is Pretty Scary When You Get Letters And Phone Calls. Help Anybody. Thanks In Advance.

Hi,
Lloyds are one of our major creditors we had the same letters from their solicitor's to.We informed them we were on a DMP and could not afford anymore at the present time. They then pass us on to a DCA,they accepted our payments from the beginning.Hope this helps.

Hi D.W.T
Lets cover some basics
1. have you had a letter from Lloyds saying that is as been sold or assigned to SCM?
2. It is against oft guidlines to offer you this kind of deal?
3. Letter to them to remove your phone number from their system and comunicate in writing only
4. Talk to CCCS
5. Don't panic they do these things it's part and parcel for the course
6. It is adviseable to ask for your Customer credit agreement so you know exactly were you stand - if they cannot supply one then that can lead you down another route but only if you want to?
Please do as I suggest Don't speak to them on the phone, by letter only you have proof of what they say!

Huh?
SCM are the solicitors who act on behalf of Lloyds
OP, this is the letter you need to send of to them, quoting your CCCS ref number
Obtain the name & address for the CEO for the company (Google is your friend) then send them this letter, amending it with your own personal details and send by recorded delivery:
Your Address
DAC / Creditor's Address
Date
Ref A/C xxxxxxxx
On the top of your letter state very clearly in big bold letters “FORMAL COMPLAINT”
Dear Sir / Madam
I refer to the above account, held with yourself's.
I have informed your company on numerous occasions I am experiencing financial difficulties.
I am acting in a responsible manner re my current situation, by seeking the advice from XXXX, I have informed your company of this, which has fallen on deaf ears.
Due to the continued harassment I'm experiencing from your company, I have taken advice from the OFT, I am informed your company is in breach of the following guidelines:Deceptive and / Or Unfair Methods.

I have informed your company, that (give the name of the organisation and account number of whose managing your DMP), is my authorised third party appointed representative. If I do not receive a satisfactory reply to my complaint from your company within 7 working days, from the date of this letter, I reserve the right to refer my complaint to the OFT for adjudication.

SCM are not "Solicitors".
They are part of Lloyds TSB's "in house" DCA.
EDIT: As far as I know anyway.

They are the last line of defense before Lloyds give up - I take it it was lovely grey paper (mine was!)
Just copy them with the offer of payment that you have sent. I wrote a quite snotty letter to them and they did roll over and accept after that.
Please do not loose sleep just pretend its a Lloyds letter (which it is!) on grey paper and carry on as you have been.0 -

I thought SCM were solicitors, is this not the company that defends Lloyds re claiming back charges?Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

Yep. They are not a separate firm of solicitors.
I should have said, they are Lloyds TSB wearing a different "hat".
As rayday says, they tend to get involved when Lloyds are getting desperate.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
