Removal Costs

Hi there,
we are about to move house and have received a quote for removal. Last time we moved across town in 90 minutes and paid under £200, but that was 9 years ago. This time we are going a bit further and want to see if we are being fleeced or getting a good deal.
We have had 2 surveys done and both came up with 40 cubic metres.
We are travelling 140 miles to destination, lorry travelling 140 miles back.
We are taking a cross channel ferry which is costing the removal company about £250 and adding on about 3 hours to the journey each direction.
We are being offered 3 people to pack and load up and 2 people to travel overnight and unload.
The lorry will load up in the late morning, take the ferry in the afternoon, continue to its destination in the evening, park up and sleep, unload the next morning, return back to the UK in the afternoon, so around 30 hours in total from arrival at our house to return to the depot near our house.
Total cost of the quote is £2000
I think this is a reasonable quote from a long-standing professional removal company. Has anyone been quoted SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper for a similar removal?
Any tips from anyone about moving would be appreciated, especially across national boundaries.
