my instructions said that too!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

The casserole dish might be fine in the oven, but check the lid! Mine is glass and I'd be too scared to use it in the oven in case it cracked!
It's only a game

My lid also has some plastic on it.0

I have used mine under the grill to crisp/brown things up (after slow cooking), as I'm not sure how conventional oven proof mine is. It works for me, for things like lasagne, etc.0

Mine is a new Morphy Richards slow cooker and the book says don't use the pot in the oven or on the hob.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Can the stoneware bowl from a slow cooker go in the oven? Not the lid, just the bowl?

I think it varies from make to make. If it doesn't say anything about this in your instruction manual you could try logging onto the manufacturer's web site and see if there's a mention in FAQs, or if they have a forum... and as a last resort, use their "contact us" page and ask them.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Just if i helps, there is an older thread asking the same thing. I was under the impression they weren't designed for instant heat but i could be making that up
I would be scared of it cracking
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I put my morphy richards crockpot in the oven on a not very high heat (without the lid). It seemed to work fine until the next time I used it and couldn't understand why the slow cooker was making spitting sounds and losing liquid.
It had a hairline crack that I can only attribute to using in the oven. The replacement crockpot was silly money and I was lucky enough to find an offer on an argos cookworks model which I personally is way better than the morphy richards one.
Never again will I use my sc crockpot in the oven because it can be quite an expensive mistake.
