Bangkok

Hi from Scally, the Wah Wah, Pigeon and Fat Frank The Yank at https://www.theroaringdonkey.com
... we're all just finishing our drinks and heading off to pack for an early flight from Cork tomorrow which takes us into LHR for our connection to Bangkok.
Our question is this ;
Is is possible for four eligible middle-aged divorcees to have a good time in Bangkok without having to resort to a paid hand-shandy?
Our interests are architecture, history,George Formby and football.
Can anyone help ?

 ( but only a couple )

Bangkok....o sweet bangkok.....dont worry you'll have fun as soon as you land..........lol
  • A whistful reply and one which suggests more knowledge than was initially imparted.
    Do tell.
  • A more suitable site for you would be thaivisa.com or stickman.bangkok
  • I can recommend the boat trip up to the "Froating Market" and a ride in a tuk tuk, and you can't miss the "Grand Parace"
The Beamish is not quite the same though!

There was a huge session in the Donkey tonight.
And we were all talking about you ... and the general consensus was that you hadn't been treated like prooer guests what with the cricket being turned off and all that.
It's just that the Wah Wah feels strongly about watching Munster RFC when they're on telly.
Should you ever come back Olga has promised to do the naked fan dance just for you.
And even the man who sells fire extinguishers with the really 'orrible breath but no one can remember his name says you're welcome back any time.
    Wahaay !
  • To be honest Nobjocki, we were very disappointed. I dragged 10 guys over on the train, telling them I was taking them to the best pub in the world. I went up at lunch time. The pub was shut but I spoke to the landlady. She was really nice, said she was opening at 4.30 and offered to show me round. She was surprised when I mentioned about it being the best pub in the world. We had a few beers elsewhere to pass some time. We went back at 5 and it was very quiet. We put the cricket on. There was no one watching tv. Suddenly we were surrounded by locals. They switched the tv over and started speaking Gaelic. They weren't very friendly. We were surpised as we'd been welcomed in all the other pubs. So after dragging them all up that steep hill my name was mud!
    Cheers
