Divorce Entitlement

married 10 years no children in the relationship but both had children from former relationships, joint mortgage, wife had affair, wife moved out 6 months ago and in with new man, they had been living in seperate rooms for the last 2 years, she was having affair with said man for 2 years. House is in joint names, she never worked, paid bills or mortgage. She is demanding 25k.
The house was his inheritance from parents so got at a lower price, not sure what is left on mortgage. Is she entitled to the usual 50 50 split?
Should he be deducting money from her entitlement cos she chose to move out?
Is my home in danger of being split, he doesn't live in it or pay towards any bills all in my name? Im thinking no it isn't but a friend said maybe.....
Thanks anyone that can help

You need to speak to a solicitor that specialises in family law - there are more things at stake her than just the house.
What is the value of the house?
What pension provision does the husband have?
ditto the wife?0 -
house valued at 120k
has a company pension he has paid into for 10 years
wife doesn't work and has no pensionI need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
Just to clarify - where is she living & where is he living & how do you fit into the picture, as you mentioned "my home"
Whatever pension he has may be either split now or earmarked for retirment age to giver her a pension.
She is probably entitled to 50%.
As I suggested, he needs to speak to a solicitor.0 -
