Hi,
I am currently looking to open a current account.
In September of last year I was made bankrupt, I have jus been discharged early after 7 months. I am now wanting to open a new bank account. I havent had a bank account since declaring bankruptcy.
Am jus wondering if anyone has any advice on some of the best banks/building societys to look for..
And also, what ID do banks usually require for opening new accounts as I cant find my birth certificate anywhere and my passport ran out 2/3 years ago ahh! lol

Try Citibank (https://www.citibank.co.uk), they're quite lenient on people with history.0

You can get a new birth certificate from here: http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
I have used them a couple of times, good service. There are other websites but they are just middle men and charge more.Kavanne
