Just to let you know that we had good result. When we travelled back from Nice to EMA, we spotted a few BMI staff - we approached them, explained politely what had happened. They made several phone calls and today we received a cheque in the post along with vouchers.
So please anyone out there who has experienced any problems with airlines, don't be put off with the small print - just be polite and stand your ground.
Cheers.0 -
It's good to hear that you have now had a positive experience with BMI Baby so don't you think, in all fairness, that you should start a new thread called "BMI Baby - thank you very much". Might redress the balance a bit.0

one thing I have found recently, is that the staff at the airports, seem to be a lot more considerate and lenient, than the staff at call centres, that read from a script.
Someone else had a name change issue, and the call centre wouldn't do anything, without rebooking the whole ticket, while the airport did it for say, £20!
i do hope you now reconsider your whole "i'm never going to fly with them again" attitude you had earlier!

Well I have just used BMI ( Return from LHR TO PMI) and had no problem at all. Self check in ref no did not work for some reason so my family and I were taken straight to the front of the que and done at the fast bag drop. It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.

OMG ... now we're gonna have all those poor people who've been charged the earth for name changes posting here and writing in to bmibaby to complain that you got away with it!!!0 -

Same with me with Jet2.com at Leeds/Bradford. No problem with a first name change, and no charge at the sales.0
