I like the second link a lot, says how much of a scam the iraq dinar is - with out of date information, then has links to dinar dealers.

All your information is out of date as many banks trade the dinar and you can exchange them in the banks i listed above.

  • Only invest if you can afford to lose money should things go pear-shaped. Potentially this is a good investment, I have bought 2,000,000 cash dinar myself but unfortunately I have read an article recently dated August 2008 which suggests that the central bank of Iraq propose to rebase their currency which means removing three zero`s. This process may take two years if passed to take effect. Should this happen you could potentially still double or triple your your investment over a long period but you certainly won`t become a millionaire. Personally i`d say don`t bother, the decision is yours!

I have read that article as well and it could be validated. It was based upon the premise of some type of consultant whos name is unknown and referenced upon the word CBI 'determined to'.

That said, the article is completely incongruous with the fact that the New York Times published notice that Iraq CBI is repurchasing the Dinar on the open market at a rate of $1 Billion to $1.5 Billion / month beginning July 2008. The only Middle East state currently contemplating LOP is Iran who presently suffers from hyper inflation of which Iraq does not.

    Best Of Luck.
