Electrics in the Garden

I want a water feature and 5 or 6 lights wired up in my garden. Wiring will already be connected to the water feature pump and provided for the lights but it will need to be run into the house and to a 2 way switch to turn each on and off independently.
Can any electricians out there give me a rough idea of a reasonable estimate for doing this please.
Thanks a lot

Hi,
The law changed on the 1st january 2005, so all work in gardens now has to be either reported to the building control officer then inspected or done by a niceic approved contractor, this means that the price will be greatly increased as being a member of the niceic cost a few thousand quid, which of course is passed onto the custmer.
More on the new rules here- new electrical rules
You could be looking at a few hundred quid but it's impossible to give an accurate price without seeing how much work is involved!0 -
You could use solar lights these will save money, or alternatively get an externall supply wired in to the garden, you will need the appropriate weather proof box etc, then the lights could just plug in via a low voltage transformer, this would again cut down on electricians cost.0
