Frontpage problem

couple of girls at work have asked me to do them a basic website but i'm having a few problems as i know nish about Frontpage and have nothing else to use at the minute.

Whenever i try and add anything from the 'drawing' toolbar it'll show on the design page but disappears when i do a preview or save the page.
Is it possible to use anything from the drawing toolbar? if not why do they have it there?

you got the frontpage server running ??

sort of rusty but think you need it for some things to work ??

and some frontpage extensions will not work on free web space if memory serves me right..

it's not free webspace and i've not uploaded it yet.
It's when i save the page and load it locally, or on the preview

I tend to use one of the freebie templates from here

then use Frontpage to edit the text....have'nt done one from scratch for ages

used to play with websites in the waybackwhen and i still to this day convulse slightly when anyone says 'frontpage' dear lord the mess that thing used to cause...

I use frontpage quite a bit, are you on about wordart, or inserting a picture
can you elaborate please, P.S make sure you did a full install, and what version, ta

it's Frontpage 2003 =, complete installation (nothing worse than keep being asked for the CD, especially when the laptop refuses to read CD's, only DVD's)

Tried it on both Wordart and also an autoshape.

2002 user meself. Ere !!!!!! what about doing a save then view it in preview pane as long as you dont exit the program you can undo the changes.

nothing seems to work for it.. At the minute i'm on htmlgoodies.com and doing raw HTML, setting it up as 2 frames instead. Not doing too badly at the minute, although only got 2 frames with 2 wallpapers on.
