Aires, this interests me. We use public transport, I am over 65, yet look mid-50's. I don't drive so have no proof of age licence, my pension goes straight into the bank, so no pension book and I don't fancy carrying my passport about. So what do you suggest. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Photocopy your passport,as long as it looks like you it should be ok.Also do you not have a local bus pass for pensioners, which you can show to them.0 -

I drive for national express and have been told not to ask someones age if they ask for over 60's discount, as it could be deemed too rude. By the way in peak times the discount can be reduced to 30% off only. Hope this helps.0

I am 60 and have been told that I cannot drive any more.
My partner is 52, how will this affect the half price discounts, any answers?Filiss0 -

My pension goes straight into the bank too. But you can apply to DSS for a card showing that you are entitled to Retirement Pension.0 -

You can apply to DSS for proof that you are entitled to Retirement Pension. Little credit card-size card, easy to carry about and quite useful.0 -
You should have been sent the card automatically when you started to draw your pension, mine came with the notifiaction of my pension payment into the bank.
