Has anyone used these people before? I never heard of them and wanted some opinions? It's a pretty awesome deal. Does anyone know if they deliver to NI?0
-
Does say you only get the 5year warranty when buying in store0

We do not ship outside the UK........so it could do.......give them a ring
Here is the link, but it looks like they use their own vans for delivery, so looks like mainland UK only

Although it says clearly on their website, you dont have to purchase in store for getting 5 year warranty.I called them ,asked 5 year warranty and they accepted.

Costco have this TV for £693 with 5yrs warranty if that helps anyone.if i had known then what i know now0

I am out looking to purchase a TV, thanks OP good first post, but I have to say that I would much prefer to get mine from Costco. I know that if in 4 years time if I have to return the TV and even if I have lost the receipt, Costco will accept it. Any better offers?Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?0

I bought a Sony 32" CRT TV with home cinema system from them over 10 years ago, all still going strong I might add. I rang them up to order, and they delivered it the same day! Mind you they only had to drive it about 10 miles. So excellent service IMHO.

I think warranty after first year is nothing to do with seller. It is manufacturer's responsibility.
i might be wrong!0 -

Costco had a Panasonic Viera 37" for the same price TX37LZD80.
Gotta say I'd rather go for the Panny.if i had known then what i know now0 -

If there are problems the contract is with the seller not the manufacturer. You didn't buy it from the manufacturer you bought it from a reseller and the warranty is with them. They may refer you to the manufacturer but you don't have to accept that under the sale of goods act. (although smaller retailer probably won't have repair facilities)
The other thing often mentioned is that there are longer than 1 year warranties due to the EU, (up to 8 years is mentioned). Whist it's true that the sale of goods act says items have to be of "merchantable quality" and it's unreasonable to expect a TV to die after a year there is no basis in law for this extended warranty as the wording is so woolly.
Anything done after the stated warranty period will usually be at the goodwill of the maker, not because they have to by law.
Personally I'd pay the extra and use Costco, they are morelikely to be there in 5 years if you need them, and they have a no quibble guarantee.0
