Hey guys you do these good deeds, you can join the Karma Army! check this site:

Well done, great to hear that there are more people out there that do nice things for others (random acts of kindness).
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
An initial suspicious reaction may not be the initial response - I've just turned round and given the "surplus" food I had to someone in the queue behind me. Dont bother to ask if they want it - just give it to them - its likely to be just accepted with a surprised, but pleased, smile.
To me - it just makes sense -it saves the world's resources being wasted.0 -
Our church used to have a box for a local homeless project and bogofs (obviously not fresh stuff!) often went in there... there must be loads of local projects / refuges / hostels who could do with all the food that's bogof... it's just finding out who and where they are and what they need!
Great idea to pass it on in the store though)

what a lovely thing to do heinz, my mum will often buy fresh stuff when it is BOGOF and pass on the extra to me. obviously tins and jars and stuff keep till she needs them - but as we shop in different supermarkets we often see stuff on BOGOF that we know the other on will use and get if for each other. i once got a interupted by a call at work my on my workmates said she sounded as if it was urgent (i began to worry) it was just as she had noticed the shampoo i used was on BOGOF and did i need any!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

Me and my friend used to shop togeather and do shares of the BOGOFs, she has moved away so no longer viable for me. But I will always offer family friends stuff if extra that i know I will not use.0

Reminds me of the time I bumped into a friend in Tesco, she was looking at melons which were BOGOF, she picked up two and said to me " I only need one shall we share?" I agreed, it wasn't until I was loading the shopping in the car that I realised she'd put one melon in my trolley and one in hers and then we'd gone our separate ways, so at the check out we each paid for one melon and not got the benefit of the BOGOF!!0

well done!
what a nice thing to do for soemone else.
Me and my mother in law normally do that trick of getting a bogof deal then splitting it - we normally seem to do it more nearer to christmas as well which means our christmas shopping si not as much - we also do it with the booze deals too because bf drinks JD and it is normally 2 for £XX so we each get a bottle of booze cheaper too and jsut pay half eachTime to find me again0 -
Its now becoming the norm at things I go to for people to bring along any surplus food, etc, they have grown and just give it away to anyone who wants it. I'm about to have some green veg. I was given this morning by a stranger for lunch - dont actually know what it is - but lightly steamed for a few minutes and eaten with a drizzle of olive oil and bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice it will do nicely with what I was having anyway.
Think this idea could circulate more widely than just the environmental group activities I spend a fair bit of my time going to.0 -
This is nice! Here's another one. I was at a checkout and the lady in front of me was collecting the vouchers to get a free teddy bear. When I got to the cashier, I asked for my teddy bear voucher, and gave it to her - she was really pleased. Obviously, it took her towards her total, but it didn't cost me anything financially. It cost me thought, and its lovely to know that somebody else sees us and thinks positively of us.
One more note about the OP - good for you for having the forethought to do it just as you're coming from the till AND in sight of security, that makes it very safe for everyone. Lovely.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I share BOGOF's with my daughter. Mamma used to do the same with me. Why not? If you can't eat two loaves of bread, and they're a BOGOF why leave the other one behind?
Good idea!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
