My brother has just recieved a UK cheque crossed and written for him, however he doesn't have a UK Bank account as he lives in OZ. (His Oz bank won't process UK Cheque)
What are his options for getting the money? can he lodge it into another account?

If he's in the UK he may want to use the cheque cashing service at Money Shop or Cash Converters. I can't really think of any other way that the cheque can be cashed as it's account payee only.0

If he's in the UK, perhaps he could open a joint account with you and would then be able to pay the money into that account.
Or can he approach the drawer and ask for a cheque to be drawn payable to someone with a UK account?0 -

Not a good idea, as it would lead to financial links being created between the two.0
