A warning to anybody booking flights with Jet2......and probably all the other 'low cost' airlines.
If you book 1 adult flight the cost is for example £119.99 each if you book 1 adult and 2 children same details same day same flight the cost magically becomes £139.99 each....!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering about making a complaint about this sort of pricing cos I dont think its hardly fair ( or legal )
Probably just another way of scamming money out of everybody.......
Any body any thoughts ???????????????/

Most budget airlines increase the price of the seats
a. Closer to the flight date
b. If the seats are selling "well"
You may have been caught by the booking software deciding that you booking 3 people rather than 1 made it a "well" selling flight.
Apart from which, thy can charge what they like as long as they tell you beforehand. Legally they are making you an offer, it's up to you whether you wish to accept it.
Personally, I find the practice of charging you extra for hold luggage, better seats, being first on the aircraft, headphones, etc, etc a much more underhanded trick !
It tends to make your "Free" flight rather expensive.0 -
On some flights it is £10.00 per person per sector to make 3 individual bookings rather that book all 3 at the same time !!!!!
And no it is nothing to do with being closer to flight date although your theory about making the flight look as if its selling well might be something to do with it......
As you say by the time you have added everything on ( not that I do ) and used a credit or debit card ( how the hell else can you pay !!!!!!) there is no such thing as a cheap flight.
Oh and how many people have noticed the 'fuel surcharge' now at £6.10 per person per sector with Jet20 -
The issue is how they release the seats.
If you want one seat you will get one seat at the cheapest price available.
If you want three seats you will get three seats at the same price.
So if there is one seat at £100 and 15 at £200 if you book one seat it will be £100. If you book three seats it won't be 1x100 and 2 x200 it will be 3 x200.
Split the booking if you want to take advantage of cheaper prices.0
