Information on Proof of NCD

Hi guys,
My first ever post. I have a question. I have just took out some car insurance with a new provider as they were cheapest and they've asked for my NCD proof. I have it and about to post it howver i'm worried about a few things. My Proof document has on there that i have held my licence for 4 years whereas i have held it since Aug 03. I have told my new insurer i have had my licence for 5 years (well i didnt but the price comparison site i used had either 4 or 5 years so i chose 5). Its only 3 months away from being 5 years. Will this info on my NCD proof conflict and cause me problems?
Thanks.

If you've not held your licence for the full 5 years you can't tell them you have. Phone your insurer and tell them you made a mistake. Better to sort it out now than have them discover you provided incorrect information if you need to make a claim.

zkw39 is correct - say you made a mistake and why not pop a photocopy of your licence in the same post as the ncd proof - s'what I would do, anyways.

He can have over 4 years NCD, being a provisional licence holder doesn't prevent you from earning NCD on a policy.
