tbh I dont think you will - I earn £16500 my (now ex) OH is on IB and we were not entitled to any help - however, this may have been because we have no children between us.
all bills are paid by me including bus fare to get me to work! every penny has been stretched to the max - learn to love supermarket budget brand!!

You can get CTE for various things, but they are the main two if someone actually lives in the property.

I think the OP was referring to Council Tax Benefit x

    Newcook,

You post really touches me as I am in the same boat as you. I earn less than you and have just had to drop hours as I don't believe my husband to be safe left for long periods of time.

My husband gets IB and DLA and we have mortgage to pay all bills and even pay for prescriptions even though he takes 5 different drugs a day to keep him alive. On a lot less than the OP.

    But no help.

Nah I prefer reduced to clear get nicer things for lot less like 10p :rotfl:

    Yours

    Calley

We earn £24000 and don't get help apart from ctc, you will not get wtc or help with your council tax. I would try the dla which is what i get.

    MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to the Benefits board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

May be worth looking at the stickies over there too.
