planning new kitchen at the mo, will require 4/5 strip lights under the wall units. does anyone know of any very low wattage versions of these? i know they are only 6/8/14 etc watts, but was thinking even lower may be available in this day and age, and they'll add up when including a couple of downlights above the sink.
thinking i'd like to use led dowlights in the shelf above sink, but can't quite find anything that ticks all the boxes yet, any recomendations? otherwise it'll be 20w halogens.
thanks in advance

Ikea sell LED strip lights, they can be used as 4 singles or just click together to make longer ones. They even change colour if you want. Called DIODER or something like that. White is around £30 for 4 lights
I used them for one of my car interiors and they are really, really bright.
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30119408Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -
now thats what i'm talking about!
did you get white or coloured? i may get coloured depending how you switch the colour, this will have to be wired into the kitchen, is the switch on the transformer? ( may be inaccesible). is the transformer that box on the pic, i would guess so, or is that just a junction box? also do you have any info on the wattage?

oh, forgot, do they only switch off by turning off at the socket? or is there another switch?

I bought just the white ones and used them without the transformer (I always look at things latterally) I used them with a special switch inside the cab of my 4x4.
They do come with a 12V transformer with a plug (no switch from what I can recall) but a simple junction box could get the plug cut off and wired into your system.
The best news is they are under 0.8W per strip.Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0
