cant collect mail in OE

Have always used Outlook Express to collect my 3 different mail accounts, but today I am unable to collect from Supanet or Breathe but can get it from Madasafish. I am getting the same error message for both accounts as follows

The server responded with an error. Account: 'pop3.supanet.com', Server: 'pop3.supanet.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90

Can anyone give me any help as both their sites say that all is running fine.

You guys should really all learn from this and start using ISP independent e-mail accounts. Only use ISP accounts as junk mail accounts!

Supanet is not my ISP, never has been. It just so happens I have an e-mail address with them and it is not my main e-mail account, I just use it for certain things, not very important. For me it is not the end of the world to lose access to it, just a bit irritating.

He means you shouldn't use the email addresses/accounts your Internet Service Provider gives you. For example I'm with Talktalk, but I don't have or use a Talktalk email address. For that matter there's not a single mention or setting or piece of software of Talktalk on my entire PC. If you tie yourself down in any way to your ISP you may run into problems in future not to mention giving you hassle free ability to change ISP. Even getting a free googlemail account is a step up because it's independant of the ISP you're with.
