Car Insurance renewal

My Car Insurance is once again up for renewal. I am currently shopping around on the comparison sites looking for the best price, but have a query.
Whilw filling the online forms in, they ask if I have claimed in the last 5 years. Last summer my car was hit while in the car park and I claimed from the drivers insurance to repair the damage. As this incident was neither my fault, nor did I claim from MY insurance, do I need to inform the prospective insurers?

Yes its a claim, you have to list all claims, regardless of who was at fault or if it was a glass claim. You should also list ANY incident that occurs (even if NO claim is made against ANY insurance party) though most people dont list the last part0
