Tesco deals vouchers in Cornwall

Hi, this is the first time I have posted so please be kind if this is in the wrong section. My family are going to Cornwall in July and I was hoping to use tesco deals vouchers to pay for restaurant meals. Does anyone know of any restaurants (eg Bella Italia, La Tasca etc) in this area. I have done a little research but no luck so far. There are five of us so eating out is a little pricey. Many thanks. :rotfl:

    hi
not sure about restaurants, but you can use Tesco Vouchers to get in Eden Project if you fancy a day out
Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

There is a Ha Ha, Cafe Rouge and Bella Italia in Plymouth (Devon - just across bridge from Cornwall) and there used to be a Yates in Plymouth too which I am not sure if it is still there or not. You may, possibly, find some outlets in Truro but I don't know of any. Pretty much all restaurants are small independants down here (thank goodness! I'm not a fan of the same food/drink everywhere personally) as towns are relatively small and a lot of places are village size. Truro is the largest place - our city. I still cannot recall seeing any outlets there but there maybe. Self catering tends to be the way to go.

You need to tell us where you are staying as from one end of the county to the other is over two hours drive!

If you can say where you are staying perhaps people can offer ideas of the better priced independants in that area for you.

I think the Eden Project will stop taking Tesco clubcard vouchers at some point during the next couple of months (end of June?), so its worth checking. We went in February and used vouchers. Personally I would not pay full price, but each to their own.

There are a few other attractions that take them (eg Flambards at Helston).

We are staying near Helston on a campsite but are hoping to travel around Cornwall over two weeks eg Lands End, Penzance, St Ives, Falmouth.

We are hoping to go to Goonhilly satellite station and Flambards with our vouchers. Sadly, The Eden project will no longer accept vouchers after the end of June so on the lookout for discounts.

Thanks for your comments. We are staying on the Lizard but hoping to travel extensively. We are certainly hoping to sample the local cuisine of the places we will be visiting. However with three hungry boys on board it is sometimes nice to have help towards the cost of a restaurant meal.

I'm in West Cornwall and have just spent some time on the Tesco Deals site looking for restaurants down this way. I can't find any in Cornwall at all.

you will struggle down west to use deals on anything other than days out. I'd suggest looking at prices of meaderies which used to be good value (although I've not been for a while) the restaurants attached to the premier inns often do lunchtime meal deals and Indian restaurants are generally better priced for a family than local seafood places.

You will struggle to use the vouchers down this way, your best bet may be to come up to Plymouth for a day. You can use the vouchers in the Aquarium plus theres HAHA bar, bella italia and cafe rouge. Yates has shut down now, so you cant use it there anymore. Plus Plymouth is only just over an hour from Helston, and its full of history etc :)

  • Does anyone know of any restarants in or around truro that take tesco vouchers.
