now i know everything in life gets more expensive but car insurance is a law off its own
two years ago the insurance cost £248 for fully comp, last year £265 and this years renewal is £330 now thats a joke surelly
after all the car is another year older and has devalued by a good few thousand since i purchased it, so why has it jumped up by such a large amount if it had only been £20 odd pounds then i woud have stayed with them;)
so which are the best insurance comparison sites as it looks like i will have to shop around:mad: which i hate doing takes ages and then your never sure if the company you choose is any good.

Have you tried to get a quote from the same company online? May sound silly but we save £180 by getting a new quote online from direct line and then spending 10 minutes on the phone (using a geo number
) while they put the renewal through with an additional discount.
Oh and we paid on the AMEX cash-back so 5% discount again! 0 -
Try and go through a cashback site such as Quidco or Topcashback
We got 40.00 back from doing our insurance this way.Payment a day challenge: £236.69
Jan Shopping Challenge: £202.09/£250
Frugal Living Challenge: £534.64/150000 -
beware of quidco:mad:
i tried them last year it never tracked
cleared cookies used firefox said i could get £120 cashback using quidco and LTSB
cost me more money in the end
my advice don't rely on the cashback site0 -

well i've used quidco about 6 times and it has only tracked once that was for 54p late last year
i have never received any cashback from them at all:mad:0 -
a lot of people are going on about premiums going up - everythings going up, shopping is about 20% than it was 18 months ago. Remember all the flooding that happened in the last year - this will have an impact on premiums. Also take into consideration that companies add between 5 & 10% to a policy at renewal, if you go online you might get a 10-15% discount - so you could be up to 20% with the same company as an online customer - add that to any cashback you might be able to get and you might be laughing.0

you must have a problem your end then, out of 154 purchases I have had 152 track and pay - only 2 that didnt was from HMV and they were downloads, so that probably had something to do with it0
