Closing a bank account when a claim is outstanding - Any ideas?

Hi
I have a bank account with the RBS, however I got fed up of their charges and have started proceedings to get these charges back - just awaiting the court decision now.
I have now cleared my overdraft with RBS and have opened a new bank account with the Halifax, however I currently pay £15 per month for having this RBS account which I no longer want or require!
Does anyone know if I can close this account and still have a chance of getting back these reclaimed bank charges if the court decides in favour of customers?
Any advice would be greatly received.

When the claim is settled and it is in our favour then they should send you a cheque for the amount, if the account is closed.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot
