Fund I was looking into

Options
I have lately been looking at funds (over the past few months) and found my favourties. I am at the moment only looking to put in £50 a month just to make sure I do not over budget.

Now my fund is based on global growth bladdy bladdy blah. However, over the past 6 months it has been degrading and the % growth has been falling. Now I know past performance is not an indication of future performance but surely there should be some correlation?

The fund is mainly looking into Asia Pacific and US so I can see why partly it has fallen because of the US but not sure whether I should start to invest now or at a later date.

I just don't really know what to look for in whether I should invest in this fund now or not.

Sorry I didn't really wanna go against the rules of going into specifics of funds, jst mainly describing it and see what you think.

I don't think it's against the posting rules to discuss specific funds. I've seen plenty of posts doing that?

Yeh I know but even so. Ah well.

Yeh so I was gna invest in that today, but thinking next week as I will actually have some money then.

Just its dropping (as the areas are dropping) so not sure whether I should go for it and pray it sorts itself out or if it'll drop completely. But I suppose £50 a month to lose isn't that bad.

The Funds that have performed well in the Global Growth sector recently tend to have been at the higher risk end of scale

The US exposure should not have been a huge hinderance to performance over the past couple of months

It's a Fund of Funds I believe, which isn't one of my favourite styles of investing, but it's performance has been decent over longer timeframes

Personally speaking I think there are much better options within the Global Growth sector

I wasn't really looking at areas specifically. I jsut used iii's fund finder to find something based on my risk, some areas (I said shares and bonds I think), lowish risk and mainly in UK (but obviously some elsewhere which is how I got to this fund).

So now not really sure where to go, I shall keep looking then!
