Isamurf, the thread is "isa hold or sell" and then the original poster asked further with regard to spreading risk.
Given one of the easiest ways to diversify is via a funds supermarket ( which may swing the sell or hold decision) then surely its in the posters interest to be told of the various options of achieving this. Therefore I feel the discussion is relevant.
Granted the way in which this thread has developed is far from ideal but if you are going to start locking threads because a few people disagree then the forum will not serve its purpose.0 -
Carnet, which facts did I get wrong before telling you that the your information was incorrect?.
Re-registration is a stock transfer - as opposed to the old method whereby one('s current provider) had to sell the existing holdings and transfer as cash and the new provider had to (re) purchase holdings.
Sorry, I thought this was explained in the extract copied from HL's website and included in my previous post viz ;
" A stock transfer, is where shares, funds or other holdings are simply transferred from one provider to another. As the holdings are not sold you will end up with exactly the same number of shares or units at the end of the transfer as you started with, only now they will be held in your Vantage account."0
