No, I see your point, but what I am saying is the OP can appeal if the information (ie her oh's wages) on the award is correct.
If it is written incorrectly then it is up to the claimant to point it out and, as such, the chance of a successful appeal is minimal.
The amounts can be checked via entitledto and the tax credit calculator if people are worried they are way out, but essentially, if the information suplied is correct and written on the award correctly, then it would be a calculation error and, in that case, the overpayment would very likely be written off.0
