What a difference six or seven months makes, eh?

There was an upsurge in posts from the better informed MSEers precisely as the market peaked last September/October warning of what was to come which provoked a storm of protests from some.

Result: People warning about the changing market marginalised and their opinions ghettoised into a single thread, just so the sheep-like loudmouths could feel better about their 'property investments'. Lots of people who might have benefited from an informed, non-mainstream opinion denied that chance.

Around half a year later and oh how the outlook has changed. :rotfl:

If I said that "I don't like to say I told you so" then I'd be lying - I'm quite happy to rub it in to the shortsighted idiots who don't want to hear the truth because it spoiled their worldview.

What a pity that stupid, overbearing people like that managed to disadvantage members of the public coming to MSE to look for advice that might save them some money.

We've had this conversation many times before. The problem was that the board was becoming dominated by people seizing on a tiny change in a piece of datum and writing endless posts about it thus crowding out people that had serious problems with their landlord or house purchase.

If a little self control had been exercised then things wouldn't have got to where they did but it wasn't so it did.

IMO a sub-board strikes the right balance and always would have. MSE are unwilling to increase the number of boards for reasons best known to themselves.

Sorry, I didnt realise we were amidst an MSE war. I just thought it was a bunch of people with opinions. Best dig the bunkers.

I am sure there will be a big parade awaiting your victorious return when the rest of us hit negative equity!

Perhaps analagous to someone crossing the road at Trafalgar Square while sending a text and saying, "I don't know why you keep telling me to look for traffic, I've not been run over yet".

    Now have horrid visions......
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
