You say you are going for a claim ... what are you claiming?

no way i sleep through a chap at the door i can hear a pin drop, i at least want my delivery money backNamed after my cat, picture coming shortly0

I don't think they'll do that TBH.
It's your fault because you should have been up at the agreed delivery time, rather than relying on Currys to get you out of bed. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I can't honestly believe that a delivery man will turn up at your address with the goods in his van, parking just round the corner so that you do not hear his lorry, and then tip-toe up to the door very carefully lift the flap and ever so subtly shove a pre-written card through the door and then scarper (just in case you heard the card drop). The fact you got a card proves they were at your door.
If you want your delivery money back then you can always collect it from the store. In their eyes (assuming they did not behave as above) they might consider that they would be within their rights to charge you double delivery.
You may be a light sleeper ... I am virtually an insomniac that relies on about 2 hours of 'sleep' per night plus a bit of dozing off and on (and trust me Sky shows some flamin awful movies half the night) .. but when you actually do sleep you will probably go into a very deep heavy sleep and hear nothing - this may only last for a few minutes and you therefore may not even be aware of it (but it is were you get most of the required sleep) ... most people who claim to be light sleepers are like this.
If you decide to go for a refund then good luck, let us know how you get on but ... sorry I can't resist it .. don't lose sleep over it

I've had a few things delivered recently and the delivery bloke phoned me and said "be with you in 30mins". This was very useful cos.
1. I had 30mins to get up.
2. He knew someone would be in rather than make a wasted journey.
Wouldn't it be nice if all delivery people did that, surely it would pay them, as petrol/diesel prices are so high, a simple two second phone call would pay for itself.
Martin a useful campaign for you????

We have ordered two things from Currys, a dishwasher - which was out of stock and couldn't be delivered for a month even though they had several in store, and a washing machine - delivered first one, damaged beyond belief, delivered second one - couldn't install as we had "and abnormal plumbing system"!!!
Would never use Currys again!
Sorry that I used your post for a rant :eek:0 -

Comet, no better than currys! You paid by credit card, why couldn't they just refund the card there and then?
