 Hi to all on this board, am a lurkerish on other boards but not been on this one before just needed somewhere to let off steam.
story is my daughter was in a private rented house with bf, but they have since split up leaving her with all bills and two daughters under the age of two to bring up. she does not claim unemployment benefits and works some shifts at night to see her through,
The owners of said house have decided to sell and she was given notice qujite a while ago, so got in touch with our local council (wulvern housing crewe) who said they would help when a house was avaliable.
Time came and went and lots of meetings for her and was told to come in today to see if anythind can be done, she has just rung me and said they can put her up in a b n b in another town 15 miles away as thats all they have.
I understand that things are hard at the minute but surely this cant be right.
P. s. She has to be out by tomorrow is there anyone that can offer some advice as to what happens next

You've left things a bit late in the day if her notice expires tomorrow.
A real sad story.:(
Do you live nearby? Can she move back home with you?0 -
If she took the B&B option she would then become a priority and get a house within months rather than the years that people wait.
She needs to check with the council whether she should move out or wait until the landlords give an eviction notice; some councils even insist you wait until the baliffs appear!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
