statutory demand for a debt 9 years ago plz help

Have you actually received a Statutory Demand, or is it just a threat to issue one?

Should look something like:

Statutory Demand under section 268(1)(a) of the Insolvency Act 1986. Debt for Liquidated Sum Payable Immediately England & Wales

Please talk to one of:

National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000

so you know whether it is real or not. If ity is not, you need to complain vigourously.

If it is, you need to get it set aside on the grounds that it is statute barred.
