I've had a quote from a local DG company for £5600 for 11 windows (victorian house) and was wondering if this was a realistic figure for the kommerling brand?
Thanks

dead expensive!
Get more quotes, go to national companies, locals and indipendent joiners and go with not just the most cost effictive quote but the one who gives you the most confidence.
Some companies will try and pressure you for the sale..... If the price is there today it will still be there tomorrow! That mrs macchicken to you!0 -
WHY is price the only factor you are concerned with?
If you want cheap then go to the USA $48 will buy you a window £25....wouldnt put it in a chicken shed but hey they're really cheap
You get what you pay for, quality windows, energy efficient, secured by design (police), trustmarked reliable suppliers, GGF glass and glazing approved, BBA british board of agreement 3rd party endurance testing all costs money, but then buying cheap you'll not need any of these quality marks, and then wonder why the products fail.
hey but they are cheap , right?
PLEASE invest in products that you are satisfied meet your criteria for your home.
sashmanBuying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run. :mad:0 -
Works out to average about £500 per window.Unless these windows are very special, then seems pricey to me.0

kommerling ,rehau, veka and profile 22 are all quality upvc profiles which will cost you more.it is easy to say ive paid £1 for x amount of windows but not all house types are the same there are many factors such as fire escape windows, toughened glass ,number of openers ,lintols and whether any plastering etc may be required.ive seen windows fitted by so called trademen even some fitted by firemen on there days off .dont just by on price there a plenty of small firms about who do a good honest job at a good priceif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0
