Payment in Lieuy of Notice/N.I. Query

Hi

My voluntary redundancy was provisonally accepted on the 2nd of May and I received confirmation of acceptance a week later followed the next day by my Redundancy Payment, week in hand, holiday pay and 12 weeks Payment in Lieu of Notice which appears to have National Insurance taken off (£94)

Could anyone tell me how soon I need to contact the Jobcentre etc? I've seen on other threads on this site that I would need to register to keep my "stamp" contributions but as my 12 weeks Payment in Lieu of Notice already has National Insurance taken off, do I still need to register? (I realise I will need to contact them when the 12 weeks is up in order to claim benefits etc)

Also both my letters state that the company has accepted my voluntary redundancy Will this wording affect any JSA claim?

Contact them immediately. Not sure whether being made voluntarily redundant will have an effect. Hopefully, you'll have found something else before the 12 weeks pay in lieu runs out.

If it were me, I'd be tarting myself around the temping agencies. Plenty of work at this time of year.
