Can buyer refuse paypal when she has it in her payment options

Are jewerly and things listed under it one of the items where you must display accepts paypal

My mother bought me a vivian alexander jewerlly box which seller has paypal on and under payment method seller preferred

I think this went for less than seller wanted but my mam paid straight away as she likes to do and sent seller an email thanking her for such a lovely item

Seller replied stating that she sent it as my mam had paid paypal straightt away but she usually only accepts this for overseas buyers it does say.

She says it costs to much for her to accept paypal from UK buyers

My mam would have had no problem sending a cheque if she had cancelled her paypal payment

It does say

PayPal is reserved for overseas buyers only, and is their only option

You cannot tick the 'I accept paypal' box and then refuse to take it or put limits on its use. This is actually a reportable matter and any seller using this sort of exclusion is not going to last very long under the new draconian rules against sellers.

yeah she has to accept. i didnt realise this when I started out and had a few complaints off buyers.

it does annoy me that it will become compulsory for all listings soon, not everyone wants to use paypal.

Its only compulsory to offer paypal, buyers still have the option of cheques or PO's if the seller accepts them.

If the Buyer pays by paypal the Seller is not permitted to refuse, that is the crux of the matter

    Irrelevant, sadly.

eBay want everybody to use PayPal, and that's all that matters.
