Our winner and guest will choose between the splendid Lakes Court Hotel in Carlisle and the elegant Farlam Hall Hotel, just three miles from the Wall, with two nights’ accommodation and dinner one evening.


The prize also includes unlimited travel on the Hadrian’s Wall Country Bus, which goes to all the key Roman locations, takes bicycles and has guides on board twice a day, plus tickets to the following sites:
• Carlisle Castle, Birdoswald Roman Fort, Lanercost Priory, Housesteads

1. Competition closes at midnight on June 21, 2008. Winners will be notified by June 24.
2. The winner is required to contact VisitBritain to confirm acceptance of their prize within 14 days of notification. In the event of non-acceptance within the specified period, or if the person is not contactable, VisitBritain reserves the right to reallocate the prize awarded to the next randomly drawn valid entry or to forfeit the prize.
3. By entering the competition, the winner consents to take part in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion, and for his/her name and county to be used for publicity purposes by VisitBritain in printed and/or online formats.
4. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person allowed.
5. Users may only enter the competition through the Enjoy England website at https://www.enjoyengland.com and the coupon in The Times newspaper.
6. English Heritage:
The prize admits two adults to the following English Heritage properties: Housesteads Roman Fort, Chesters Roman Fort, Corbridge Roman Town and Birdoswald Roman Fort during normal opening hours.
The prize winner will be issued with a VIP pass which is valid from 21.06.08 to 31.12.08. Some English Heritage properties operate reduced opening hours from October 2008. Please visit the English Heritage website for full details of site opening times and prices.
The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The prize is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion offered by English Heritage including membership, family tickets, festival of history or Overseas Visitor Pass.
The winner will be drawn at random and will be contacted with details of how to redeem the prize. The winner will be asked to provide the names of the four people on the ticket and the prize can only be redeemed by the named recipients.
