New laptop comes with works word processer.
All my old files I have saved to disc were created using various versions of windows from 97 - 2000.
Is their a quick way of converting all of them so they automatically open in works wp?

There are converters that allow you to open Works docs with Word but not the other way around?! My first PC came with Works and I had loads of problems as my mates could never read my Works word pro attachments.
My current machine came with Works Suite which comes with Word included, much better IMO. I could never understand the point of Works.
I agree that Open Office is an excellent free alternative. This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!
