hi, new to the site, not sure where to post this?? and hopefully somebody can help here...
i was wondering, can you get cash straight away on a dividend cheque or do you have to deposit it and wait a few days for it to clear like with a normal personal cheque?
thanks in advance!

It's a cheque, same as any other.
However you are very likely to be able to arrange for your dividends to be paid directly to your current account which means the funds will be available for withdrawal on the date of the dividend payment (the date on the cheque).
Look at the payment notification which came with the cheque to see how/whether you can do this.0 -
by this you mean a current account of the same place as the shares, or any place i hold a current account?
thanks for your reply!0 -
If the div is from a UK company and you bank in the UK then get the money would be available to you on the dividend date.0
