Pooh bear - my mum became a nana at 49! I joked she should have featured on the Britain Youngest Grans show on BBC3!

I feel ready to become a gran. I keep looking at baby things in shops.

Someone will have to show me how to put two quotes in one post. It looks a bit daft posting twice like this.

I now see Wednesday is up and I have done nearly all of the list today so maybe I will get a male free living room tomorrow as its easier to fly around without 3 tennage bodies in the way.

Right, I am having a quick bath in my beautiful clean bathroom then I am going out.

    Hi everyone

Not done a lot here today, hardly been in as I have been guzzling coffee with friends!

Well done to Kaz's DS, I did DofE and got to go St James Palace to get my gold from the Duke himself :)

It's been a bright but cool day here, let's hope it warms up next week when the kids are off school. Reckon we will get the caravan out and go away for a few days seeing as I am off work as well, will be the first time since DH died. Not good fo it to be stood that long but not felt ready before now. The kids will love it though, going to ask Mum and Dad to give me a hand setting up. I can tow it there but putting the awning up is definitely a 2 person job! It's only just over an hour's run there so Mum & Dad could follow us op and then come back home, will bung them some £ for petrol.

Busy already this week - although mainly gardening - paid on Monday, and for myself this afternoon.

Very little in the way of flying done though - must try and whisk around tomorrow. I intended to do some after dinner, the extra half a glass of wine has affected my motivation...

I had an informal interview this morning, and was offered two days a week French/Spanish from September! Not my dream job, probably, although I have quite liked the school, and am very pleased to have the offer.I can still do another day's supply somewhere else. It is a longterm supply, with the possibility of becoming permanent - presumably if I'm not too horrendous.I only have a very dusty O level in Spanish, and was very honest about my doubts about teaching it, so I'll probably be given the bottom set, and do cross curricular preoject type work - crowd control with added glitter.:D

DD has had Maths on Monday and also English Literature today. She is revising for Biology and German at the moment - or so she tells me... DS1 has ICT on Friday. He also tels me that he is revising, but as I've been out all day, I can't check.

Good luck to all the junior flyladies and gentlemen who are doing exams at the moment!

hex and taurus, thank you for all the lovely book suggestions. I'm really strict about reading, as when I start a book, I can't put it down until I've finished, which means nothing else gets done at all. And as we have a small house I operate a one in, one out policy. Except for my gardening books, obviously! I've read a few of the Richard and Judy group suggestions, and liked Victoria Hislop's The Island immensely. I'm now waiting for her to finish her second. The drawback is that they're often first time authors. I enjoyed Kate Mosse's Sepulchre (Christmas present), and have recently read all of Kathy Reichs after I was given one. I now read quite a bit in French, as that also slows me down...
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
