Thank you all once again - will be checking on here before going to Tesco and now have a notepad and pen by pc for unknown reason - ps my 15 year old son says "cool" and is impressed with this site too. (will call him bighairygit for the purposes of this just to be in keeping with my nickname)

Found 2 of these in Gloucester - one box marked 568, behind it a box marked 598 - SEL of 568.
Heart pounding, approached the till - scanned at 568.
Till guy goes "That's a good price".
Inside I'm gutted - forced smile "Damn left my wallet at home - I'll be back".
Went home to the OH who thinks I'm a banana.....

Just got back from tesco in Sidcup (London, ruxley corner) they had Stella 20x440ml cans with a big sign of £12-99. I had some the other week and thought it was a good price so picked up another case. It went through the till at £14-59 , went to CS and got a refund and kept the beer. Although the lady at Cs did recognise me from the previous weeks.Rump and sirlion steak still overpriced, as was the blue stilton.0

Heads up - Scallops!
Great Yarmouth Yesterday - Scallops. SEL £24.xx per kg, pack £27.xx per kg. Average pack price £5.10.
Not much else there though.
Also, on Deli counter, there were two Cheddars that had yellow POS for reductions but showed the old KG price on the label. Unfortunately, they had actually weighed them at the reduced price so no overcharge, just mis-information.
Plenty of other misinformation SELs too, like WAS £2.49, NOW £2.49. What are they playing at?0 -
Tesco's have Stella Artois 20*330ml bottles (or was it 24?) for £9.98.
Yesterday they were going through the till at £8.98; there were two different SEL's out, so it's worth checking this offer out.
BTW, my local ASDA had an offer on the same thing: 2 for £16.00, which I thought was very good value.

7 x packs of Finest Oak Cured Bacon (3 at one store, 4 at another) - SEL £2.06, pack and scanned at £2.48. Lots of Saturday fry ups - thanks Mr T!
Had to explain policy to the Tesco Express store as they said it was only for the large stores - pointed to their "Our Promise" sign positioned about 10 ft up the wall - both strained to read and then said "a thousand apologies"! Judging from their reaction I think I am the first MSE'r (or anyone) to get a full R&R there. :rotfl:Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449
