ideas after eurostar,london to...?

hi all,

myself and the wife arrive back to london on the eurostar on friday july 21st at 13.28.

we want to travel somewhere outside london,by train, for a day or two before going back to ireland.
where we go does not really matter,it just has to be near airport/ferryport.
suggestions please for some cheap rail/hotel deals.

I don't know but I'd say check laterooms.co.uk and find a hotel and book a train in advance.

I think both have airports and a single train ticket shouldn't cost too much.

How about York - the trains leave from Kings Cross which is next door to the Eurostar terminal at St Pancras & if you book in advance on the NXEC website it's can cost as little as £10 each way per person
