1997 Hyundai Accent Electric Window

My 1997 Hyundai Accent's front passenger window is playing up - it goes up and down a little way and then sticks. As it does so, there is a grinding noise. My question is, how do I get the door panel off to have a look at the motor?

Any advice out there?

there will be screws around the side of the door panel and probably some hidden behing the door handle, look for covers that could be popped off with a screwdriver.

  • Are you certain it isn't just a lack of lubrication on the guides? Try spraying silicone lubricant down the guides in the window frame.

It will be this or the mechanism

    It wont be the motor

I had one which had the exact same problem on both windows in the 5 years i owned it
