Try the more expensive stuff like butternut squash, asparagus, posh lettuces, etc.

It is great fun, and it would be a good way to get kids to eat more healthily! (if I had any to make healthy;) )

If you don't have much space allotments are £5 a year where my Mum and Dad live. They are huge and there is a man who makes tea in a hut then rings the bell when it is ready. It is great fun! Mum and Dad have one each next to each other and they get quite competetive about it! They have a garden but they just like the allotment. A lady at the same alotments doesn't have a garden (near to London) and she has a little table and comes up with her bottle of wine and cheese and bread to watch the sun set.
I am going to get a veg patch as soon as I move, can't wait!

I'm at work and all I can think of is cheesy baked beans on toast, wine gums and jaffa cakes.

    I hate you all.

    awwww
On the plus side, you've got a job and are not putting on the weight.
We're probably all stuck on a sofa scoffing that lot instead of working.

    :)

If you have a staple diet of Beans on Toast, don't!
Someone in my area died from doing just that. You need a variety of food to be able to survive properly!

That aside the cost of living has soared. We seem to regularly spend £100 (for two) when we go shopping. Used to spend £60ish.

I did a big shop last night.
Enough food for about a week. £7
Baked beans aren't going up in price.

You know that's the F-Plan diet? (remember that).

    I think I know why it's called that.:rotfl:
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:
