Is this house over valued?

Please can somebody give me some feedback on this house? I think it is over valued for that price, no parking, a nightmare to find parking,no double glazing, ancient extractor with pull down cord in kitchen window, never saw anything like that before. etc. The location is good and daughter likes periodic features even that I thought it is a lot to pay. I could get a much bigger modern house for that price. I also think the EA over inflates the price a bit, another house by the same agent is being marked for 5k less.

hi loulou!
Heavens I cant believe that you are still house hunting after all this time!
i dont know the area that well, but I would have to say for a home of that size, that 329 is much cheaper than what I have seen around where I am ( east london) I agree that harrow is outer zones though and that does mean a bit of a price reduction....
How long has it been on the market for? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
that's one hell of a desperate EA if you read the full blurb
estimated rental income
historical prices
etcIt's a health benefit ...0 -
I am sure that at one point someone was suggesting that 'the correction' would revert houses back to 2003 prices.
As the EA has kindly published the market value in 2003 as £198,000 you could conclude that it was currently overpriced.
That's the tack I will be taking when I start looking again anyway ( somewhere between 2000 - 2003 Land Registry prices).
Good Luck0 -
Yes, I do not know why I find it so hard to find a house. Under this current market, after looking for so long I find that the houses are coming on the market over valued. I agree with London, I will get only 1 bedroom flat at that price but we are in Harrow and it is zone 5. The house next door was sold 10 months ago for 275k. The house which I regretted not buying for 300k in 2006, was a semi detached better location with parking and a beautiful garden. I will always regret this decision all for the sake of 3k, the seller was asking and I did not make my mind quick enough. I am sure there must be a house for me somewhere. Thanks for all your in put.0
