Weight Watchers, the UK number one weight loss organisation, is passionate in its mission to improve the health and weight of the UK. Weight Watchers is launching Get Walking Week (18th-24th May) to get its 1 million UK members out walking to inspire the British public to increase its activity. And to celebrate Weight Watchers is offering Southern Daily Echo readers the chance to win one of 40 pedometers in this fabulous competition!
Weight Watchers has committed to walk 477,424,000 steps or 238,712 miles, the equivalent of walking from the UK to Australia 30 times over. The challenge is designed to motivate everyone no matter what his or her fitness level, as walking more can be fitted into most people's daily routine.
Research* suggests people increase their activity levels by wearing a pedometer. This is because pedometers raise awareness of activity levels.
