Mispriced computer what should I do?

I would appreciate a little advice.
I've just bought a computer off ebay, buy it now for 0.99p + postage. It is obviously mispriced, what should I do now?

Thanks:rotfl:

Thats how it goes sometimes. Sometimes you get more than you anted sometimes less- make hay whilst the sun shines!! Have they got anymore with that start price? Is the postage hugely over inflated? Some sellers are happy to sell very cheap and make money on high postage rates!!

It is unusual to get such a bargain unless it is an obvious scam and other buyers have stayed away. Pay and see what the seller does.

Seems like the BIN was selected rather than the auction listing. I have done this myself - the selling form follows the previous style listing. I let my item go as it wasn't worth a huge amount and I had started it at 4.99 anyway. They obviously won't want to let it go for this price and will probably back out one way or another. But I guess you realise this already.

have you got the item number? That way we can judge whether it is unusually low or a scam?

OOps, sorry I missed that :o

In that case you can still try to pay and then see what seller does, he/she might ask you to do a mutual NPB and you may feel it inappropriate to agree to that as it owul dnot be mutual on your part.

I am a bit reluctant to give the number just yet, I will when I have had a response from the seller, I've paid via paypal. If it's not a scam, this item probably has a value of over £700

Hope it works out for you, there are quite a few cheap PCs going round, you can find a lot of old Dell Optiplex and Compaq Evos going for very little money. The other you often see are those that sell custom PCs for 99p, but you then need to select all the parts you want them to put in it for you, the price of those soon adds up.

I woul dnot put the auction number openly on here as it means we have your user id as well, and that is not a good idea. The only reason people can be frank on here is because we are not open to auction wreckers who may now agree with our suggestions, I was targetted once by an ebay stalker and I can assure you it was not pleasant.

If you want someone to give you an opinion send the link to me or to one of the other regulars by private message and we can take a look for you.

This seller is selling reams of PCs at 99p on a BIN s.gifselectronicstore

They have no feedback though on any of the 99p items, although they do have feedback for similar PC up to around the £25-£30 mark which possibly means these were meant to be auctions and not BINs.

    Feedback though is a worry.

I've just checked out his auctions and it would appear the 99p BINs have disappeared and been replaced as auctions. I'd wait and see what they say after you pay.
