Sunday 18/05/08. What small dfw things will you do today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Hello to all the regulars and any new posters! :hello:

I over slep today, as was hoping to be up much earlier, its now a mad dash to get ready to go out and spend some of the day with my friend. Not many dfw things for me today, having a little break after all my hard work yesterday!

My dfw things are:
-Check for mystery shops, i managed to pick up two more yesterday and found i had a telephone call regarding doing a focus group.
-Do any surveys i may receive
-Do my daily clicks
-Do the ironing i didn't get finished yesterday
-Stick clothes out to dry
-Use railcard on train to get a cheap fare
-Go out with a friend but not buy anything, i don't want anything and can't afford it either!

-Work on brochures and leaflets for my business
-Dig out my counselling books as i didn't do this yesterday - unfortunately i've sold them!!
-Work through emails
-Look for a new job
-Write leter to voluntary place to try and get another placement sorted
-Do boring housework
-Take a look at counselling course for the next school year and see what requirements i have and whether i think i'll be able to get on it
-Read on website for tips on setting up my business
-Sort out stuff for ebay
-Go for a free driving lesson and take bottles to bottle bank

Have a great day everyone, the sun is beginning to shine here.

  • Morning all! :D
Today I have withdrawn money from betfair - had a free bet but it didn't win, still made 14p in a roundabout way on other bets! I am feeling much more positive today, and having a NSD enjoying the sport, sun (not the papers!!) and will have some of OH's home made stew yesterday that he knocked up with a can of john smiths, barley from the storecupboard and some stewing steak!! Smells good...
Will check pigsback and quidco later. Have people done the tesco SIM one on quidco? It displays as 4 pounds but tracks as 6  not complaining!!
