Halifax Liquid Gold

Just looked at the account online and discovered that it actually pays 0%!!!!
Cant believe that they didnt inform me, its a good job i only use the account to pay money in at my local branch then transfer it online!
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

    I'm surprised at the number of people who still have this account. Whenever a journalist writes a piece about how savings accounts start with high headline rate and then get worse they always use the Halifax Liquid Gold as the example.

    So be warned - as a general rule old savings accounts get milked by the building societies. Never just put your savings away and forget about them. Check the rates at least once a year.
