Worth a moan?

Options
I took my DD into Morrisons last week and used their passport photo booth to get her pictures for her passport application. Cost me £4. I made sure we were well within the guidelines for passport pics, and as it said "Passport Photo's" all over the booth I figured we couldnt go wrong....

Had a letter back this morning saying they couldn't accept DD's pics as they are "too light", obviously a fault on the booth. Luckily we are in no big rush for the passport, but its a little annoying to have this happen when you pay for the privilege of using a proper passport photo machine.

So, question is, do you think its worth having a moan next time I pop in?

I'd certainly mention it - although as it probably isn't their machine at least they can make the owners aware so it can be corrected. They may even refund your money! Someone not as well organised as you might leave their passport application until the last minute and not have time to get the photos re-done.

OK, go back to morrisons and show them the letter of rejection .. they should either refund you or offer you another chance to get pictures taken. It is a simple case that the pictures were not fit for purpose.

Yes Dave, I want thousands for the stress....

But, like you say someone who had left it until late may come unstuck with this. I wonder how many other people have had photo's rejected from that booth. I have to pass that way tomorrow so I will nip in and mention it, if only to stop someone else having a problem :D

I have had new pics taken by a photographer this time, another £4 but as they do this for a living they can pretty much guarantee acceptance of the pictures.

    Thanks for the input guys

Most of the booths aren't owned/run by the stores - there should be a telphone number on it of the owner. Good luck

OH's cousin had his returned because a few of his hairs weren't in the picture...You're better to go to someone who's trained to do it, rather than the machines, but it's worth getting the address of the machine owners to make them aware of the problem.
