Didn't relise the banks could have so many problems with this process.
Some times it's not the banks fault. Some companies just decide to ignore the bank's letter or have a process where they require your signature on the DD form.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

my question would be why change to barclays? i would NEVER bank there, there accounts are not competitive, they don't care about you and i have had such trouble with them. they were my first bank and i banked for years before the days when you really had a choice. changed over 20 years ago and have had no troubles with either of my bank accounts since. had to deal with them again when my dad died as his accounts were with them. we had nothing but problems with them and their poor rules and administration. my advice would be to bank somewhere else.0
