50/50 and losses

I had a car accident in March, I totally blame the other driver for swerving across from the right lane in front of me to exit the roundabout (I was correctly in the left lane). However, no witnesses stopped.

My insurance company have written today suggesting I accept 50/50. I am really annoyed as paid £150 excess plus have whiplash injury claim and income losses (£400 overtime).

I have protected no claims but how will this affect me financially, I don't really understand it. Will any injury/losses payout be halved or can I also claim half of any losses he has also claimed for? Do they total the total losses on both sides and half it?

It frustrating as his company vehicle so it won't affect him personally at all
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time

You need to get advice on claiming off the third party for your injuries etc., and whether or not you should contest your insurer's suggestion. (If 50/50 is accepted, then you should get 50% of any damages awarded)

If this is your first claim, then your protected NCB is unchanged.

Expect your premium to increase because of the claim.
  • Where to start? not only the fact that everyone has said they have lousy customer service, if u claim they never pay out and they are fat lazy tw*ats that never do their job when it comes to your claim but i will tell u my little story.
5 months after turning 17 i got my provisional, come march i got my car a y reg fiesta 1.3 (insurance group 6 tho) worth about 1800. quinn kept coming up cheapest and i know friends who are with them. my price come to 1660 ( an extra 60 for my 22 year old sister with 4 years ncb) and as i paid monthly it work out around 1800. my first month was about 355 and 145 every month after. 5 months on (or 1 days ago lol) i told them i had passed, and right there they told me they wanted an extra 1550 in the next 6 months payments taking my final 6 payments to a whopping 300 each. well after much argueing i told them where to stick it. the next day after canceling the insurance and speaking to many companies i got a call from norwich union direct. offering mea year insurance for 1600, again the cheapest aswell as the fact i was know a bigger risk because i had just passed and was an 18 year old boy. when i rung them back up they had quoted that for me and my mother but realised they had put us down as husband and wife. 5 minutes later and another phone call i get this offer:

1500 (working out 1558 for monthly payments which is 200 less than quinn directs montly payents) so yes 1500 for 9 months!!
so i am paying my first month of 333
and then 175 every month after for only 7 months YES 7 NOT 11
and after this 9 months i get 1 YEARS NO CLAIMS!
    and even better still
after that they GUARENTEE that my next years renewall price will be 800 or less which is better than alot of people i know who have 1 years ncb with a car in a lower group and they are paying over 1k.

sooooo inclusing FU*K SCAMMERS QUINN DIRECT
and go with NORWICH UNION-> ring them for a better quote and deal!
