Hi can someone pls tell me how to unlock a Tom Tom sat nav/pda.

It belongs to my friend's hubby who was killed in rta a few weeks ago and we desperately need some info off it.
Thanks in advance Jammy x

Thanks will try this ......but don't know how quick they will be to reply to my email......anyone else any ideas???0

u will need to state the pda make and model
mine is just an on off button on the back to remove its password and reset all to default settings, or take the batteries outclick here to achieve nothing!0 -
or take the batteries out
Caution! Don't do this until you know what your device is! If it really is a PDA, some makes will lose all of their data if you remove/disconnect the battery.
AFAIK, Tom Tom have never made any general-purpose PDAs. What you have may be a Tom Tom satnav unit, or it may be a PDA which has Tom Tom software installed.
As mdbarber says, find out the make and model before taking further action.0 -
Good advice guys ......will try my best to find out exactly what make it is.....the last thing we need is to delete everything off it!!!0

can we have a model number, my tomtom does not operate as a PDA, while my old HP Ipaq PDA did operate as a tomtom, so we really need to know what you have, the wrong advise could cost your dataUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

also it may be relevent to tell what kind of data you are after, as most is actually stored on external cards in the case of pda's, if so try putting that in a card readerclick here to achieve nothing!0
